I would say that this ship is what would be closest to a weapons platform that can be in regards to what the Empire can squeeze into what could be construed as a TIE Bomber-like body.
Myself, I would take out the Astromech, make it a limited jump nav-computer, perhaps to 4 jumps... It would then need to be reprogrammed at a base or a SD.
The rest of your ideas, I like very much though. i hope that you like this design. |

Also, these are rare too..
Only the Grand Moff has them..
1 squadron each on his SD, 2 on his flagship. |

Sorry for reopening this thread, but I need some help again.
Finally, I'm going to get both ships done, but after finding out that the TIE in Solo is a Heavy TIE Fighter; it means that I can't call mine this as well.
This ship is built on the TIE Bomber framework, and is designed as a weapons platform.
I've decided to remove the small launcher assembly from the TIE/Sk and add it to this ship.
But I need a new name for it, does anyone have any suggestions? |

TIE Destroyer
There is a TIE-Destroyer in canon, but only 8 were made.
This boat looks well-suited to escorting a convoy, possibly with a C&C module to allow a commander to coordinate in the absence of a heavier vessel, but also providing enough punch to help take down larger ships.
