Ok, I added:
Corporate Sector Merchant
Hutt Merchant
Tapani Merchant
These have been added tentatively. I wont have any time today or tomorrow to work on anything, but hopefully Friday I'll be able to put something together. If I like what I come up with for stats, they will stay on the list.
What unique skill sets do you see them as having?
My Ideas:
Corporate: Bureaucracy: Corporate Sector, Law Enforcement: Corporate Sector, Streetwise: Corporate Sector
Hutt: Bureaucracy: Hutt Space, Intimidation, Gambling, Planetary Systems: Hutt Space, Streetwise: Hut Space, Streetwise: Criminal Organizations, +Con.
Tapani: Bureaucracy: Tapani Sector, Cultures: Tapani Sector, Scholar, Streetwise: Tapani Sector
Am I missing anything? |

That sounds like a good fit. Would a simple Scholar: Corporate Sector work? |

The only thing I would add to the CSA merchant would be Cultures: CSA. Other than that they all look pretty good. |

Earlier today, I took the time to expand all of the merchant stat blocks with the exception of the ones I posted earlier today for review. Hopefully that will allow me to finish things up a lot faster once I have the time to finish the doccument up.
In the mean time, I just finished up the Vong pdf. So I thought I would share that with everyone.
Vong NPC Collection:

Any chance you will expand on them (experienced, veteran etc) like with the others you have done? _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

The Vong are expanded, . . . . . Or are you talking about the Merchants?
As for the Merchants, yes, I plan to expand them out a little bit. I was actually planning to do 2-3 versions of each for the Merchants and other civilian groupings. |

Before I finish things up and post a pdf, I wanted to give everyone a chance to look over the NPC progression I am using for the civilian stat blocks. Instead of using +2 and +1D when boosting the stat blocks, I went with +1D+1 and +2D, but only used three sets of stats instead of the 4 I have commonly used with other collections. The end result is a very similar range of skills, but a little more veriance between stat blocks.
Below is the standard merchant from the R&E book along with two upgrades on its stats.
Name: Merchant
Species: Any
Sex: Any
Dexterity: 2D
Knowledge: 2D
Streetwise 2D+2
Mechanical: 2D
Repulsorlift Operation 2D+1
Perception: 2D
Bargain 4D, Con 3D+2, Persuasion 2D+2
Strength: 2D
Technical: 2D
Move: 10
Equipment: Clothing, Datapad (Holding transaction records), 200 Credits, Various wares for sale.
Reference: R&E p210
Name: Merchant (Experienced)
Species: Any
Sex: Any
Dexterity: 2D
Knowledge: 2D
Streetwise 4D
Mechanical: 2D
Repulsorlift Operation 3D+2
Perception: 2D
Bargain 6D, Con 5D+2, Persuasion 4D+2
Strength: 2D
Technical: 2D
Move: 10
Equipment: Clothing, Datapad (Holding transaction records), 400 Credits, Various wares for sale.
Reference: Custom Build
Name: Merchant (Elite)
Species: Any
Sex: Any
Dexterity: 2D
Knowledge: 2D
Streetwise 5D+1
Mechanical: 2D
Repulsorlift Operation 5D
Perception: 2D
Bargain 8D, Con 7D+2, Persuasion 6D+2
Strength: 2D
Technical: 2D
Move: 10
Equipment: Clothing, Datapad (Holding transaction records), 600 Credits, Various wares for sale.
Reference: Custom Build
Thoughts? Comments? Constructive Criticism?
If I dont hear anything/much in the next day, I'll start working on the pdf! |

I always found it strange the base book didn't give merchants the value skill, bureaucracy skill, or languages.. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Yeah, that actually has a lot of bearing on why I wanted to expand them into different kinds of merchant so badly. |
