Crell Damar is one of my fav characters... though i have many
he's an ex-law enforcement, now local bounty hunter hmmm... i can't remember how many bounties he's brought in... 4 or 5, but he has yet to not capture a target
but he's the only character i've ever earned an extra force point with
i'll post up stats and stuffs about him a little bit later, i only have the time i've got in school so... |

Sounds cool! What did you do to earn the extra force point? _________________ "Mind what you have learned. Save you it can." --Yoda

Ok Loc, here you go. Mind you this is just a bit of what he has got.
Well cortosis coated armour for starters.
His gauntlets literality has a weapon for every occasion (though bear in mind that we include EU material that is not official WEG).
Right gauntlet:
Heavy Blaster Pistol- this needs no explanation
Vibroblades- for up close and personal encounters
Targeting Unit- self explanatory
Dart Launcher- they can be filled with such wonderful concoctions
Power Liquid dispenser- from acid to mace, theses things are great and make play time fun with Jedi
Sythrope and Grapple- needs no explanation
Electric Slugthrower- explosive rounds, incendiary rounds, the limits are your imagination, plenty fun with robe wearing Jedi
Gas Jet Dispenser- nerve gas, knockout gas…so many gasses!
Left gauntlet
Micro Rocket Launcher-forget the Jedi, blow a hole in the wall and kill him with shrapnel
Disrupter- it disintegrates stuff…tons o fun
Mini Ion Weapon- great for druids or other tech devices…like lightsabres
Flame Unit- needs no explanation
Sonic Weapon- block that Jedi!
Razor Launcher- if you have seen “I come in peace” you know how fun they are
Micro Shield Generator- good for blasters or lightsabres
Targeting Unit- self explanatory _________________ "My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself." - George Bernard Shaw |

Just so you know, my Jedi character has faced and defeated every one of those weapons you're so proud of except the ion gun. For some reason, nobody in any game I've played thinks to fire ion weapons at people (or rather their equipment) to disarm them.
There is no single weapon which a jedi cannot deal with; a hoarde of small ones, maybe. If you want to defeat a Jedi do not try to overpower him. You must out think him. The best weapons are passive ones - like the Burmese tiger pit. _________________ Know Jesus, Know Peace.

The weapons are just an aid. They themselves are as you said, easily overcome by a Jedi.
But its not so much the weapons (though they do help) its how they are used.
After all, he still has a 5-0 record. _________________ "My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself." - George Bernard Shaw |

Human, and 3D.
Though through his armours enhancements it would end up being higher.
Those ex Strom Commandos are tough yes? _________________ "My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself." - George Bernard Shaw |

We had one player in our group who really liked Han Solo. So he played a smuggler template. When Team Aurek first started, it was Simeon les Cartes who provided the ship. Simeon was known for carrying a pair of chrome blaster pistols and his loud mouth but he never actually smuggled anything! This campaign lasted eight years (IRL) and not one smuggle! He did lead several boarding actions as Team Aurek seized Imperial shipping when the opportunities presented themselves.
The Imperial NPCs kept identifying him as 'Simeon the Pirate'. The more this annoyed the player, the more the director made Simeon's reputation well known. He was easily the most infamous (from the Imperial point of view) member of the team.
Finally Simeon changed his quote to: "I am not a pirate!" _________________ Know Jesus, Know Peace.

son of fire's gauntlets sound cool, but they also sound like they have too many utilities for just two gauntlets. |

Up to the point where he said his character was human, I thought his character had at least six arms. This is Star Wars, after all. _________________ Know Jesus, Know Peace.

Please, both Fett’s have just as much if not more in their gauntlets according to EU material.
Also remember that this is a culture that has technology that holds all the technical readouts for the Death Star in something smaller than a palm pilot.
Micro technology is nothing new, also your right; this is Star Wars, a fantasy in space.
Magic is more then the Force, it’s there technology. _________________ "My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself." - George Bernard Shaw |

That has happened to characters in our group, too. Bounty hunters who never capture any bounties, smugglers who never smuggle anything. That's why I like the mercenary character type - it can encompass a little of everything.

I agree, that game was lots of fun.
I've seen many characters played and only a few are worth mentioning.
Ragnar, Crell, Auron, Sark...
As for my own characters I think it's a tie between Weis(Mafia Hitman) and Miraj(specforce infiltrator).
Both are skilled warriors, but I have the most fun playing out their personalities.
As a psych major, I like to explore the effects of my character's backgrounds in their current lives. Weis is fun to play. His troubled past and being raised in the streets of Nar Shaada has shaped his perceptions of how life should be. "It's a Hutt eat Hutt world."
Miraj is a single minded soldier, but being a Mashi Horansi, technology is a pain and the Empire is one big machine. Still, his loner nature conflicting with the Rebelions "Go team!" attitude is fun to play out. |
