LOL... I was just kidding about killing them...
But with my current campaign, I do have players that are not new to rpgs, but totally new to D6. So I ran one night of a "pre-game" where I provided them with premade characters and made them run through a short mission that told the story of what happens before their real characters will come into the story. I also used this as an oppurtunity to have them run through several different senerios like a gun fight, a speeder chase, and a short starship combat. just to give them an example of different types of rolls to expect.
then at the end of the night we sat and made up their real characters. And I plan on using the other premade characters as future npcs.
Although... one of the players got tired during the example game, and asked if he could go lay down for a while on my sofa... I did kill his character... |

I had to put one down myself last night. He had made alot of bad decisions all night, including spending all his character points and force point in haste. The one that really scewwed him though was first refusing to unbind his compannion(another player) then shooting his friend in the back, then not caring about said friend, then getting shot in the head. Ofcourse even though the friend was eventually healed by someone else he was still bound, and thus could not help the guy who eventually died.
We'll see if he learned any thing from that experience when he makes up a new character. |
