You can also give the player a higher number of CPs at character creation, so that he's better able to compensate for the lack of other players. _________________ Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid. |

yea. i mean sometimes the "Theif" or "Spy" Campaigns are better suited for a single player. He could build a character who will only have himself to trust , and could eventually be known as the shadow (and so on and so on)
So adventures along those lines would work perfectly for smaller parties _________________ The Vong have Arrived

Yeh, I can present my solo characters: a starfighter pilot for hire with a shabby X-Wing and R2 as his only friend. An outlaw (ex Imperial officer - now deserter), who doesn't trust anybody and doesn't want to choose either side (Rebellion/Empire) flying across the outer rim onboard of SILC-1 (Stolen Imperial Lambda Class ) |

Just don't forget to include character points to improve the NPC or droid. They need to grow in experience too. _________________ Xynar

Well for a 1-on-1 game the best thing you can do is find out what the player wants to play and what type of game they want to play. You should tell them what you'd like to run and discuss it until the two of you "agree".
Once you know that you only have to figure out if NPC cohorts will be needed or not.
I have to agree that spy/espionage/ loner type character work really well for 1-on-1 games. But it's more important that the player enjoys their character and the you (the GM) enjoy running the game.
Let me know what kind of character your player wants to play and we can help build adventures, plot arcs, ect. _________________ Luke, I am your father.
That's impossible!
And Leia is your sister!
That's improbable?
And the Empire will be destroyed by..EWOKS!
That's...highly unlikely.
The Force? Bacteria called midichlorians.
If you don’t take this seriously I'm out. |
