Componentization
A process where a single piece of equipment or weapon is composed of several different pieces, each of which is disguised to appear as another type of equipment, such as a comlink, a datapad, or even a vibroshaver. Componentization is a common upgrade for assassins, smugglers, and nobles who want to carry weapons or other equipment into a location secretly.

Cost: 500 credits (Basic), 1,200 credits (Deluxe)

Upgrade Slots: 1 (Basic), 2 (Deluxe)
Game Effects:
Basic Componentization (1 Slot): Breaks a weapon or item down into 2 components, each one size category smaller than the original. Example: A medium-sized blaster rifle becomes two small-sized disguised components (e.g., datapad and comlink). Assembly Time: 1 full round.
Deluxe Componentization (2 Slots): Breaks a weapon or item down into 4 components, each two size categories smaller than the original. Example: A medium-sized item becomes four tiny-sized objects (e.g., pen stylus, belt buckle, power cell, comm clip). Assembly Time: 2 full rounds.
Disguise: Each component is disguised to look like an innocuous or unrelated item. Adds +2D to con or forgery checks to pass the item through a scan or visual inspection. Attempting to identify a disguised component requires a Perception (30).
Limitations: A componentized item functions normally only when fully assembled. Partial assembly may be used to deceive scanners but not to use the item.
