If you've seen my inventory spreadsheet (see my post in this thread), one of the bits of info I added is a column defining what function a given book serves in gameplay - Rules, Supplement, Adventure, etc.
How do you organize your books? Do you keep all related material together or do you go more traditional and keep them in stock number/release order? |

I keep all of my SW RPG stuff (mostly WEG, but also a small amount of FFG and d20 stuff) all on the same shelf. I put my most commonly used stuff (2R&E rulebook, campaign notebook, etc.) together, and then sometimes similar materials together as well (so 1E books are near each other, modules, etc.). _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

I keep books on a bookshelf.
There's a display cabinet shelf or four full of D6 SW minis.
There's a drawer full of prepainted D20 minis.
There's a box full of SW: Legion minis.
There's a curio cabinet dedicated to protoype items of the Star Wars toy that started my miniatures obsession. |

Rulebooks, in order of release. Then sourcebooks (same, as are all of the following). Then galaxy guides. Then the supplemental stuff (Cracken's, etc.). Adventures are last.
Adventure Journals are on a separate shelf with other RPG books because they don't fit. |

They are in two different boxes stuffed in the back of a closet covered by other boxes and games... it's a real mess! |

Part of the reason I grew burnt out on Legion and Imperial Assault was the organizational aspect of it. A million decks of cards, special dice, card tiles, counters, markers... what a mess.
I sold it all and rebooted a very select Legion collection to play with my neighbor. |

I have a bookshelf dedicated just to star wars rpg stuff - I used to have a list (somewhere) back in the day, in tracking my old d6 stuff - I was missing one book (an alien book I think?) as I am a bit of a completionist (bad expensive habit that is...).
The shelf is like a living history of my various star wars games over the years.
All my weg books were on the bottom shelves (rules, modules, adventure journals, etc.) with d20 rcr books in the middle, and saga books on the higher shelves. A couple of FFG books for reference here and there (their lords of nal-hutta book is an excellent source guide for hutt space).
On top of the shelf was a selection of gaming size minis (at-at from old minis game, a few models etc.).
Sadly, all of it is in boxes now due to a flood issue - but I am putting together a new ikea shelf for it, and as my group is switching back to d6, I will re-organize.... now, of course, I still have no idea what book I was missing, or some others (I loaned out a few books 10 years ago - no idea to who has them....sigh). _________________ SW Fan, Gamer, Comic, Corporate nerd.
Working on massive House Rules document - pretty much a new book. Will post soon.... |

pakman - see my post in this thread: https://www.rancorpit.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2342&start=30
I just made a greatly expanded Excel spreadsheet version of the Sandcrawler.com WEG inventory list. Use it to check off what you have to figure out what you're missing. |
