Hmm... how many are going to be in the party? It makes a difference in terms of what ship you're going to use. Or is this an NPC?

Y-Wing, good weapon mix, droid socket so you don't have to drop Skill Dice on Astrogation at the start and you can convert the "gunners cockpit" in to a holding seat.

If you're willing to take things that there aren't in an official d6 source, I think I'd point towards the Phoenix Hawk light pinnace. It's kind of on the fuzzy edge between starfighter and a space transport, and I'd honestly place it as a space transport. Still, it's a small ship with ion cannons and room for prisoners, so it's something I could see a bounty hunter using.

Not to mention style points for bringing in something that isn't a Firespray, but is reminiscent of the craft.

If you are just wanting a fighter, i second the Y-wing or if possible, go with the Hapan's M'ytill fighter.

Could build out a customized cloakshape fighter. There's "no such thing" as a stock cloakshape by 10 bby, so you and your bounty hunter could customize one.

Only the one player will be using this ship.
So far the custom cloakshape sounds like a plan, but a converted Y-wing could also be a good idea

The Phoenix Hawk light pinnace could be too expensive for this player as he is gonna have to take out a loan haha.

Thank you for your help guys!!!

Where is he going to keep his bounty in a Y wing ?

Corellian Engineering Corporation HT-2200 - Convert 1 of the 200 ton Cargo Areas into Holding Cells. Leaves you 600 tons of Cargo space to add weapons, improved Shield Generators, and maybe even add a small starfighter Bay.

He can live in the ship, have space for additional bounty hunters, and keep a whole gang full of captives to collect on all at the same time.

In general, I'd go for something unobtrusive and modify it as much as you can get away with while still keeping advantage of being easily overlooked. A good bounty hunter won't want to stand out and be noticed while in port, and that would go for their ship too. Flying something non-specialized enough that you could claim to be travelling on more than one sort of business to avoid attention would be optimal. If you fly something unusual, and you develop a reputation, the fact that your ship is in port is going to be noticed and you'll lose the advantage of surprise. If someone has to pay you to go after a person, that person is probably smart enough to keep an ear open.

Simple stick them in the Gunners Cockpit, Dope'm, Ball Gag, Hood, Binders for arms and legs & Isolate the controls

What about a Z-10 seeker. Use the cargo pods as storage for the bounty's, but when needed they can be dropped off to boost the speed and maneuvering of the ship.

I think scout ships make the best bounty hunter ships. They are only slightly larger than most fighters, have moderate armament, and usually have fast hyperdrives. They can also carry passengers, which is most important.

Two that I would suggest are the A-24 Sleuth Scout Vessel and the Lone Scout (30,000 used and looks like a TIE).

Hmm... a Subpro Corporation TL-118 “StarHammer” might do the job, but it's only got 200 kg of storage space. That might have to be modded to make prisoners fit.

The Duro Defense Force Dagger-D Police Fighter is kind of nice, but a bit crew heavy. You'd either have to slave it, give him a droid comapion, and/or GM hand wave the rest.

For reasons I'm not sure I understand, I've always had an affinity for the Gozanti cruiser (statted in the SAGA Starships of the Galaxy Conversion Guide), despite it's high crew. It's got a thick skin, and though it isn't terribly maneuverable, it can take a pounding.

A Citadel Cruiser could have some additional weaponry added, and convert the passenger area into a detention area, and you're golden:

Anyway, those are just a few suggestions, but I'll keep an eye out for more.

In that vein, the vangardd pathfinder is also a good choice.
