Ok, KeldorKatarn suggested doing a sourcebook based on the game TIE Fighter in my thread on the Secret Order of the Empire tattoo and both jmanski and I said this would be the sub-forum to do it in. So I guess I'll open a thread for him. Really this is their baby, by which I mean their idea. I'm just trying to get things started for them.

And on that idea the website The Rebellion has some stats for Steele converted from the D6 stats in Gamer issue 5

Well we do have the stats in Gry's Starship PDFs, that's a huge starting point

I like the dramatic picture it really grabs your eye and brings you back to the grand old days of playing tie fighter.

I think the text might be to busy especially on the bottom.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe change the font on the lower text to something a little easier to read?

But to mention it, the picture is only 1/4 its real size (to big to post in this board....had to downscale Smile

Just as a bit of a lesson learned, if you're borrowing images from LFL or licensed products, nobody seems to mind much. However, if you're using fan-art, make sure you get permission to use their rendering in the book. Most people are pretty okay with it if you ask beforehand. However, based on previous projects our community has learned that if a fan sees their art after the fact they get pretty miffed and can take steps to stymy the distribution of the book.

So, yeah... get permission from fan artists.

Yeah, it looks a lot less busy. I like the second version better. It provides a more clear focus to the text without really loosing any content.

The cover KeldorKatarn did does resemble the box art to the game better. Grabbing the image from Wookieepedia, the box art looks like

But I do agree with gullwind about the lasers coming from the tips of the solar panels on the TIE Interceptor.

I'm gonna see about doing some stats for Pargo.
