Has anyone put together a CIS sourcebook. I looked through the fanmade source books but didn't see one. Did I miss it or has no one tackled that project yet? _________________ You should not fear your enemies, they should fear you!

If you're refering to fan-made PDFs like the Jedi Academy Training Manual and the The Clone Wars Campaign Guide, their conversions of D20 sourcebooks. So if there's a WotC Confederacy of Independent System Sourcebook that's already had everything in it converted in other books, it may be it's seen as no reason to produce a new PDF. But I think most of the CIS material has appeared in various sourcebooks and web enhancements so there has been no CIS general sourcebook or web enhancement. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Yeah, I've been noticing that. Its very difficult to get new GM's because of that. There is no book that is full of enemies from one era that a new GM can just sit down and use. I always wish Star Wars had done this. It seems every other RPG can accomplish this feat.
I have some players that want to try their hand at GMing but they are incredibly detoured because they have to do so much research just to get everything together for an adventure. _________________ You should not fear your enemies, they should fear you! |

I think a lot of the sourcebooks are done to be geared towards adventures set in what that particular sourbook covers. Like if you're going to do an adventure set during the Thrawn Trilogy you could get away with just having the corebook and the Thrawn Trilogy Sourcebook. Helpful to have many other sourcebooks, but you can get away with just a couple if you have to. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

I know, I know, I just really wish Star Wars had a Monster Manual. It would be cool _________________ You should not fear your enemies, they should fear you! |

You want a monster manual? Try Gry's Creatures Stats PDF. Most of the creatures that were stated before the conversion PDFs started coming out are in there, both D6 stats and converted from the earlier D20 sourcebooks and web enhancements. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

I have that, and its awesome. I need a Monster Manual for the CIS Just one place you can go to get all the droids, vehicles, ships, and all the races that made up the CIS if you want to add some living enemies just for fun. I know you can get all of this stuff, but as I said its for a new GM who is rather overwhelmed by the daunting task of compiling all that data into an easily accessible... something so she doesn't have to go back and forth between books, pdf's, and everything else that's out there
I fear I may have to undertake this massive project on my own _________________ You should not fear your enemies, they should fear you! |

The Clone Wars Campaign Guide conversion PDF should be a big help. But it may be best to put your own sourcebook together using several of the various PDFs to get stats from. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

I have all of Grand Moff Gry's books so they will be invaluable, I'm sure. Wish me luck! _________________ You should not fear your enemies, they should fear you! |

Okay, I'm using my own format and I have several droids done. If you would like to see a work in progress shoot me an email: tusk.bloodflail@gmail.com and I will send you a PDF of everything I have so far.
Please don't be shy, and I would greatly enjoy feedback so I know which direction to go. Right now I'm focusing on actual enemy units and from there I will expand into the actual organization. I have never attempted anything like this so all ideas are welcome! _________________ You should not fear your enemies, they should fear you! |

If you have them try using The Imperial Sourcebook, and The Rebal Sourcebook as guides on orginization. Also, don't go into detail on all units. Instead, pick significant units to give detail on, units PCs might be more likely not to want to face. Or units that are notorious for their defeat and could be facing new leadership to make them eliete. Kinda like the One-Eighty-Worst before Fel took command of the wing and made the 181st an elite fighter unit. Most units can give the PCs a hard time, but noteable units are going to be units the PCs either are not going to want to tangle with if they can help it or would prefer to face cause they will believe they have a better chance of defeating. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

I'm cutting and pasting from Wookieepedia so that part is going pretty easy. _________________ You should not fear your enemies, they should fear you! |

Please don't say that. I've seen too many term papers that cut and paste from Wikipedia. Sometimes they don't even remove the formatting from the internal links. I give out so many F's that way. _________________ __________________________________

Its funny you say that, because most people around here don't even put forth that meager effort to add the tiniest bit of information that only needs to be cut and pasted. Also, I'm not writing a term paper or trying to present something as my work when it is the work of others. I'm just trying to provide as much info as I can. If you want to see what I've got done so far just let me know. _________________ You should not fear your enemies, they should fear you! |
