Multiple damages in same round? How do you do it?

Say 3 shots come in on 1 PC from 3 different shooters. One wounds, one stuns and the other hits for incapacitation damage. Are they just incap, or would the wound inc the Incap to mortally wounded? What about if they took 3 wounds?

Generally I'd err in the players favour and say they were stunned, wounded and incapacitated rather than adding up the wound levels.

But I try not to slay players too often.

I tend to go addative; whether its one round or 12 it shouldn't really matter.

I'm resolving hits in order. It makes no difference if it's in one round or in more. Otherwise I couldn't handle changing conditions (character is wounded, armor is damaged etc.).

Of course, if I want the PC up and active, I'll fudge the rolls a bit; but normally, they'd be down.

Whether PC or NPC, I would probably take the greatest wound level and apply that. If they take wounded or more the next round, then they move down the damage chart. I'm not sure if that's by the rules, but that's how I'd play it.

What is the difference in taking a wound the following action or next round??

The difference he's talking about here is between just going with the highest wound a person receives in that round, as opposed to stacking all the wound received in that round, usually resulting in a final worse wound level.

Ex: Wounded and then Incapacited right afterwards.
Option A: End result: Incapacited.
Option B (official): End result: Mortally Wounded.

I personally go with the official version. Although sometimes we forget to stack the wounds...

I stack them in my games. I don't like the idea that someone can get shot 5 times in one round, wounded 5 times in that same round and only be wounded.

Like it says in the R&E sidebar on page 90 (I'm sure it's in 2nd Ed. somewhere, I just coudn't find it quickly Razz);

For better or worse for my characters and players, I've always kept with this idea. Combat is dangerous, in the movies and in real life. Injuries are real consequences and should make people think twice about getting into combat in the first place. Stacking damage in one round is one way to get that idea across.

ditto here, all wounds stack. i find this helps curb my player's instincts to run and gun.

The rules don't actually say what happens to a wounded character who is later incapacitated, only what happens when a wounded character is later wounded (1st wound = wounded, + 2nd wounded = wounded x2, +3rd wound = incapacitated see page 87). Therefore we read the rules in the characters favor and tend to treat wounded and then incapped as different than incapped and then wounded (i.e. the former is Option A: incapacitated and the later is Option B: mortally wounded). I understand why one might choose to treat them the same, but the rules don't actually specify.

Incorrect Bren.. This is from the R&E rule book, page97..

Code:
Stunned characters suffer a penalty of -ID to skill
and attribute rolls for the rest of the round and for the
next round. A stun no longer penalizes a character
after the second round, but it is still "affecting" him for
half an hour unless the character rests for one minute.
If a character is being "affected" from a number of
stuns equal to the number before the "D" for the
character's Strength, the character is knocked unconscious
for 2D minutes. A character making an Easy first
aid total can revive an unconscious character.
Wounded characters fall prone and can take no
actions for the rest of the round. The character suffers
a penalty of -1D to skill and attribute rolls until he heals
(through medpacs or natural rest). A character who is
wounded a second time is wounded twice.
A character who's wounded twice falls prone and
can take no actions for the rest of the round. The
character suffers a penalty of -2D to all skill and attribute
rolls until he is healed. A wounded twice character
who is wounded again is incapacitated.
An incapacitated character falls prone and is knocked
unconscious for 10D minutes. The character can't do
anything until healed. An incapacitated character who
is wounded or incapacitated again becomes mortally
wounded.
A character making a Moderate first aid total can
revive an incapacitated character. The incapacitated
character is now awake, but is groggy, cannot use
skills, and can only move at half his "cautious" rate.
(See "Movement and Chases.")
A mortally wounded character falls prone and is
unconscious. The character can't do anything until
healed. The character may die — at the end of each
round, roll 2D. If the roll is less than the number of
rounds that the character has been mortally wounded,
the character dies. A mortally wounded character who
is incapacitated or mortally wounded again is killed.
A character making a Moderate first aid total can
"stabilize" a mortally wounded character. The character
is still mortally wounded but will survive if a
medpac or bacta tank is used on him within one hour
(Moderate first aid total); otherwise, he dies. (This is
different from healing a character with a medpac; see
"Healing.")
A killed character is ... killed. Start rolling up a new
character.
