They had something in there about it taking only half damage if the weapon did energy damage and another kind of damage (such as regular damage and bludgeoning damage), but since that doesn't happen hardly ever in D6, I just snipped that out.

We're done with adventures 1-4 and 10. We're half way converted.

I have his known languages as specializations. However, with the translator unit, I'm not sure about having the specializations so high. Any suggestions as to how to mark his known languages without the skills being crazy high, or does it matter so much when we're just talking about speaking and writing a few languages (that is to say, it's not like he's going to be able to go nuts with demolitions or something).

Anyhoo... after this, we'll only have 8 and 9 to do. Almost done.

There are multiple ways for characters to be fluent in languages. I don't consider Languages specilizations of 5D+2 to 6D+1 to be high, but you only need a specialization of 5D to be considered fluent in the language. During play, you can also be fluent in a language if you successfully make so many difficult siill checks, and that is regardless of your base Languages skill value and whether you have language specializations on not. So on my character sheets, there is a section called Language Fluencies where characters can list the languages they are fluent in. Since characters don't have to have specializations to be fluent, you could just list the languages he is fluent in. Once you are fluent in a given language, you only roll for communicating extremely difficult concepts.

Also, a base language skill of 3D (same as KNO attribute) seems low for a protocol droid, so perhaps you could raise the base language skill to 4D or 5D and then just list the fluencies without any specialization die values. Of course you can disregard all this because I don;t know the character you are statting.

Note that he has a base skill of 3D, and then his translator unit adds an additional 3D to that. So, he'll have a functioning skill of 6D. Further, wit the specializations he'll have 8D or 9D (functionally) in those language.

Note that the creatures ARE overpowered, much the same way one might say Luke Skywalker is overpowered if you dropped him into a campaign. The challenge level on these things are about 18. That means that an 18th level character should have a hard time taking one out. 20th level characters would be Yoda or Palpatine. Take that into consideration when you provide the critique. Nonetheless, they are hard to convert even given that they're supposed to be super-challenging. [/quote]

By the way, after the critiques on this, that's a wrap. There's nothing left to convert, unless anyone feels so ambitious as to tackle NPCs, and whoever that person is, they aren't me. Smile
