Hey All!
Gotta question....
I want to emulate the Force Push they use in the movies and the Force Jump.
Qui-Gon-Jin used the Force Push against the droids (as did Obi-wan) and they also used the Force Jump (all in Episode I).
What Jedi Powers would do this?
Telekinesis says that the Jedi can lift himself so that might explain the Force Jump.
Any suggestions? |

In the Tales of the Jedi Companion they have 'Projected fighting' which fits Force push/strike nicely. |

You could emulate Force Jump with a little Enhance Attribute and Enhance Skill to improve your climbing/jumping. Don't think you should use TK... |

I'd have considered TK for both. The droids looked like they were lifted off their feet slightly and sent flying. Projected Fighting doesn't really say anything about pushing the target and it does say the power can be kept up if the distance between Jedi and target remains the same. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Yeah, Projected Fighting is what I always thought they should have had Yoda do against whomever he fought against, rather than that ludicrous spinning and hopping around with a lightsaber.
As to the couple of Force powers in question, I would also probably go with Telekinesis for the Force Push and probably a mix of TK and Enhanced Attribute for the Force Jump.
One of the more perplexing things I saw in the prequels is the "reflect Force Lightning with a lightsaber". I figure a little Absorb/Dissipate, couple with an I-don't-know-what. |

You're welcome.
Glad you liked them.
I am curious what people think of this guy's alternate version of Lightsaber Combat. I think I'm going to try using it in the campaign I'm starting up this weekend, but I'm still a little unsure if it's better than the official one.
The main thing I like about it is that it speeds up combat by negating those 2 rolls you'd normally have to make every time you wanted to bring Lightsaber Combat up. Then it builds the penalties into the power so that it doesn't affect your actual actions, but at the price of also penalizing your damage bonus. |

We'll be using that version of lightsaber combat too. I like how it speeds the game up.
I wish they'd have one for the "these aren't the droids you're looking for" power. That seems a bit off. Maybe just an X roll at -2D or something for that power might work better too. |

This is an old thread and the links are broken. Does anybody still have these powers saved somewhere? |

I went to internetarchive.org and plugged in the website. I found a few of the pages, but not he ones that had the force powers on it. Though, I didn't do a complete search. Feel free to look for yourself.

You could contact the owner of the former website, as his e-mail address is in the archive.
Of course, we do have these things covered in Gry's Force Powers book, if you're looking for some stats on such powers. _________________ __________________________________
Before we take any of this too seriously, just remember that in the middle episode a little rubber puppet moves a spaceship with his mind. |
