True but there are generaly speaking, few individuals who have what it takes to be a mandalore and it is often hard to recuit them in any real numbers. This leaves them with limited man power and an unwillingness to compremise there standards.
The augments where not intended as mandalorian achotypes, only as a temporary solution to there manpower issuses and to inspire others to belive in mandalorian greatness. |

I think of Mandolorians as the "Spartans" of SW. As a fault I would list knowledge of other cultures/alien races stuff like that. They are warriors, most likely the most elite warriors ever known thus the fear/awe in the SW universe. IMO |

I thought about that too, although I tend to think of the Spartans as being interested in peace first. I was trying to liken them to medieval knights (ie. armor, affiliation to a lord and the crusading / galaxy conquering nature of their culture) but I like the Spartan idea too. In some respects I think that the Mandalorians are, in relation to the Jedi, as Ninja are to Samurai (and not just in the Ninja fanboy way of thinking) |
