Not really. Second addition had them, because the first ed players were going to need them to upgrade their charcter stats. R&E didn't need them as first ed players would already have the conversions from second ed, and they weren't printing first ed stuff anymore. _________________ "I take orders from just one person: Me!"

I was thinking about those gamers who may have jumped straight from 1st Ed to 2nd Ed R&E. |

It's a set of conversion tables I created for Star Warriors based on all the official info I could find.

...I still use a lot of 1st Ed. rules, & the Speed Dice is one of them (Even a poor pilot in a fast ship can catch a veteran in a slower craft).
...As far a Capital ship combat using Star Warriors, the game itself handled that abstractly (roll x# of dice & each 6 was a structure point). In the 1st Ed. Strike Force: Shantipole, players had 2-seat B-wings hitting a Nebulon-B frigate (which had 4 Structure points if memory serves--it seems to be 1 Structure Point per full die of Hull; perhaps Shields could be handled the same way?!). _________________ The man who thinks he knows everything is most annoying for those of us that do. |
