Weiss in German means white, if I'm not mistaken. I had recently watched Knight Hunters Weiss Kreuz and thought Weiss sounded cool and had sortof a purity to it. Weiss has no last name. Didn't seem important.
Miraj sounded like a good name for a sneaky cat dude. It also sounds exotic and that's why I like it. _________________ "I don't know about angels, but it's fear that gives men wings." -Max Payne

@1994 - I had started playing before then, but I don't remember exactly when I created Loc Taal... _________________ "Mind what you have learned. Save you it can." --Yoda

Correct
You should make Weiss' last name Schwartze hehe... _________________ "For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times... before the Empire. "

My GM always comes up with good ways to make fun of our character names.
Bestinal-Worse than all
Nimo-He made sure that on almost every mission nobody could find me...
Mickey-Mouse
Benver-Beaver (actually he was a beaver-like species), that or Denver _________________ 'God gave you grace to purge this place

i just randomly came up with Volo Enrunk i thought it sounded simple enough for a barbel and brutish enough. but my normal method is to get a phone book and pick a letter use a last name or the first few sylables to that last name as a first name then go to the inverse letter much like V is 5th from the end and E is 5th in and i get names like that or just randomly pick letters i've come up with names like Kosko Rokko for DnD this way my halfling, and many others. but thats how i do my name generation _________________ Sabbac anyone? |

lol! That's exactly what I do for names, when I need somebody who needs to sound human (in a short story, or novel). _________________ 'God gave you grace to purge this place

Mine is short for Padawan_Learner_Yoda. I keep the meaning slightly ambiguous. Am I the Padawan of Yoda? Or am I Yoda, the Padawan? The taught, the teacher, or the learner? _________________ "You're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view." - Obi-Wan Kenobi |

Maximilian Bernas was a name I came up with that has the same initials I do. Bernas is a scandanavian derivative of "Bear-like" (I am IRL over 6'6" and currently nearly a quarter-ton [500lbs./227Kg. for the rest of you]) Yeah, yeah, I know... big!
Maximilian means "of greatness" in Latin.
Great big Bear-like jedi. Or, ex-jedi now. Something like that. _________________ "Let your anger be like a monkey in a pinata"

Perhaps you should be playing the esoomian. All my tall friends are like 6'3" or less. 6'6" thats an impresssive height. I bet you do a lot of stooping to enter doorways |

Yeah, well, actually I knid of side-step through doors rather than duck through them. In America, most door frames are set at 7 feet, and the dorr itself is about 6'9". But I do have to watch myself in most older houses. Especially with those where there used to be a table underneath a chandelier and there isn't a table there anymore so I can get some tiffany glass in the temple.
Ow, ow, ow...

I made up the name Volar randomly - only later did I hear it's an (uncommon) Spanish name. Since I don't know any spaniards, I'll stick with I made it up on my own.
I pictured his pre-play background in great detail before I played him the first time - I always do. He was not from a planet in the Republic, and never heard of Jedi. Only later, did he become one, at the insistance of the director - who really, really wanted a Jedi in the game. We didn't have any. He begins with the moniker "the Healer" because that's what he is. Probably a rub off from my Shoshone friends.
For anyone interested in what an in depth background looks like, check out the thread "Volar's Story". Everything up to where the RPG stats are posted is background.
As for other characters:
Max (just Max) has no last name because he's a criminal in hiding.
"Iceman" is a fighter pilot whose handle reflects his personality. His actual name: LCDR Simass was random. _________________ Know Jesus, Know Peace.

I've used some version of Kabal as my online name for as long as I've been online. It's a mixture of this old arcade game named Cabal that I used to love to play (a commando game, which had a roller ball for a controller) and the jewish "magic" system of Kaballah (not that I'm jewish, it just sounds cool) |

Decided not to use my usual screenname when I joined, so I decided to use the name of my favorite WWII fighter. So I'm Hellcat after the F6F Hellcat. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!
