Wow! Go away for a few weeks and look what happens! These books have been on my mind forever! I started collecting a sizable list of the items and such from the clone wars (Ep2, Ep3, comics, books, etc...) with just this kind of project in mind.

I didn't know where to begin stat conversions and such. It looks like you guys already have it handled for stats. What areas are still open? Do you need help with background info? Battle summaries? I'd love to get in on this and help out as it's been nagging at me for a long time.

We would love the help. Right now we are working on ep 2 and once it's done we are going to move on, but we are taking it one step at a time. So we are not wanting to put the cart before the horse. We are still working on stats let me see what's left and we can go from there, but yes we would love the help. Here are some senators.

Special Abilities:
Fins: Aqualish are born with the natural ability to swim. They receive a +2D bonus for all movement attempted in liquids. However, the lack of fingers on their hand decreases their dexterity and the Aqualish suffer a –2D penalty when using equipment that has not been specially designed for it’s fins.
Hands: The Quara do not receive the swimming bonus, but they are just as at home in the water. They also receive no penalties for dexterity actions. The Quara are most likely to be encountered off world.

I had one more I needed to post the Geonosian Soldier. I would have to say this is the hardest one I have done, because geonosians are odd creatures at best. Oh! well here he is.

Wow, you took care of all the senators in one swift stroke! Good job. I sense you are anxious to start the next phase of this project.

Just a few notes on the Geonosian Soldier: "blaster" should be changed to "sonic weapons". Do you think he should have some skill in "blaster artillery: sonic turret"? How about changing the name from Soldier to Warrior, since it's not really an organized army? And maybe adding to the Equipment: "or sonic carbine (4D+2)"?

Thank you for your input, you're right about the warrior instead of soldier it actually say's that in their bio at starwars.com, but for some reason it didnt register. I also made the other changes you mentioned. I guess if it is ok I'll work on Kalyn Farnmir (Kuati Security Forces agent), Acros-Krik (Ongree Mayor).

So, do we need write ups on the planets in the film? Equipment and vehicles displayed in the Battle of Geonosis? I know Garth already has stats for these.

Here's a sample piece I was working on for my own CW sourcebook. Gives a summarized background on the devious machinations behind the Clone Wars:

A History of the Clone Wars

A thousand years before the opening salvos were fired on the unremarkable planet of Geonosis the first steps toward of the coming war between the light and dark sides were taken. Inspired by the defeat of the Sith in a war which lasted a thousand years Darth Bane, last surviving Sith lord of the Brotherhood of Darkness instituted two laws of conduct among future Sith. First, there were to be no more than two, a master and apprentice. The consolidation of power would allow the Sith greater influence and control. The second law was of secrecy. Under no circumstances were the Sith to openly reveal themselves. Instead, they were to work in secret sowing the seeds of corruption and evil in the Republic.

For one thousand years the Sith held to these and other of Darth Bane’s instructions. Under the guidance of Bane’s wisdom the Sith were able to continue in hiding and to achieve what countless centuries of open war could not. The Republic was made blind to their existence and the Jedi turned their gaze inward to petty issues in the Republic. No longer were the Jedi true defenders of the Republic, instead they became perpetuators of the Status Quo.

In the midst of a Jedi order committed to the service of the Republic came two Jedi who would forever alter the galaxy by their actions. The common link between these two was their ability to see, at least in part, through the veil of blindness cast by the Sith. To Masters Dooku and Sifo-Dyas, the inability to perceive was a warning of the growing power of the Sith. Dooku and Sifo-Dyas confided in one another and while Sifo-Dyas made preparations in secret, Dooku went so far as to openly criticize corruption in both the Senate and the Jedi. In Dooku’s view, the Jedi stained their order by making it the subservient to a corrupt political body. He correctly perceived the influence of a Sith master, a possibility the Jedi largely refused to consider.

During this time, a powerful Sith Lord known as Darth Sidious was indeed carrying out Bane’s mandate of secret, until the Trade Federation’s failed blockade of Naboo. In the Battle to free Naboo from the Sith directed attack veiled as an attack by the Trade Federation and their droid armies, Sidious sent his apprentice, Darth Maul, into open conflict with Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Now the Sith were revealed, yet the Jedi continued to set their focus elsewhere, on the smaller conflicts harassing the Republic.

The Council’s complacency continued to upset Dooku, who thought the Sith Lord ought to be rooted out and dealt with. It was then that Darth Sidious approached Dooku. Rather than a battle to the death, the two engaged in a conversation wherein they found their visions for the order of the galaxy to be more alike than conflicting. Dooku, who had always held a discomforting interest in the Dark Side gradually became a partner to the Sith Lord in order to expedite the reforms he believed necessary to root out the corruption in the Senate and in the Jedi Order.

Acting of his own accord, Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas approached the cloners of Kamino with an order to create an enormous army for the defense of the Republic. He foresaw the potential of the droid armies and knew the Jedi would be outmatched were the Trade Federation permitted to amass a larger army. Soon after, Dooku became aware of the creation of the army and, in accordance with Sidious’ order, killed Sifo-Dyas and concealed all evidence of the clone army, going so far as to delete the Kamino system from the Jedi Archives. The murder of Sifo-Dyas became Dooku’s initiative act in his ascension to the Sith. He was renamed Darth Tyranus and formally abandoned the Jedi order, though his true allegiance was still unknown to them. Tyranus’ next task was the recruitment of Jango Fett to serve as template and trainer to the Republic’s secret army.

The Sith again receded into the background. Two years before the Battle of Geonosis Dooku re-emerged as an outspoken critic of the corruption continued under Palpatine’s leadership. Dooku called disgruntled worlds to secede from the Republic and form a confederacy of independent systems. Two hundred worlds joined his cause with the promise of access to the Trade Federation’s secret hyperspace routes and more open commerce. In a move typical of the ineffectiveness of the Republic, the Senate spent the next two years debating the legitimacy of the fledgling Separatist movement. As the Republic stagnated, the Separatists only grew stronger, calling more star systems to their cause and amassing an incredible arsenal of droid soldiers lead by the maniacal cyborg, General Grievous.

When terrorism became a tool of the Separatists, the Senate turned from a debate of legitimacy to one of self-defense and calls for the creation of an army were heard. The Military Creation Act appeared on the Senate floor as a call to raise an army capable of dealing with the ever growing and highly organized threat posed by the Separatists.

The Senate divided and debate continued. Traditionalist elements continued to call for a diplomatic solution to the crisis. They rallied around the historical use of the Jedi as peace-keepers and the diplomatic corps as negotiators. The young militarist faction was quick to point out the Republic had not faced so large an organized threat since the great Sith war of a thousand years earlier, a crisis which nearly destroyed the Republic.

What do you think? if you want stat the Naberries we can, I can start them. I was thinking that they might come in handy when we do ep3 sourcebook, if we decide to detail Padme's funeral. I don't know just a thought. If we leave the Naberries off, I can start on the clubbers.

Do the clubbers. I'm thinking we should dump the Naberries, their stats would be so poor that I don't know how useful it is. However, it's your book at the end, so if you want them in, go straight ahead.

Boy, I can't believe we covered all that list of stats....
