Huh, no memory of that at all. I haven't used the Blue Vader rules in 30+ years, though.

IIRC the 2e R&E book also has it.

I was looking for it in "R&E", what page is it on? I guess "grandfathered" was a bad choice of words. Sad

Wow.. Just checked my pdf, and i can't SEE that line in the 2e R&E book. Guess i always just assumed it followed from 2e base over..

Grandfathered it is. R&E retained the 5 Force Points maximum for non-force users but dropped the 3 Character Points conversion which probably was a game balance adjustment. I still say anything you can do to get the players to spend CPs and FPs on anything other than skill improvement is a long term bonus to your campaign.
