There's not going to be enough space in the Nebulon's hull to construct anything useful, especially not if it's still expected to be an escort, too. There'd have to be enough transport capacity to haul not only the construction equipment, but all the material needed to construct whatever it's supposed to be constructing. Better to put it all in a dedicated construction ship, with a Nebulon escorting it. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. For what i am thinking, the ship in question would not be an escort frigate any more, it trades starfighters for construction vehicles, & some of its weapons for more tractor beams & robotic arms.
Majority of raw & processed materials would be transported via cargo ships. _________________ Facing all that you fear will free you from yourself.

For one thing, that's a waste of a perfectly good warship hull for a mission that could be handled far better by a non-combat auxiliary, or by Walker or Starfighter-Scale vehicles designed for the purpose (which could also be hauled in by the freighters). If you're really looking for a platform to serve as an overhead crane/robot arm gantry, then put it on a Quasar Fire. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. You're right; i'll make a variant or 2 of the Class-7 repair vessel instead... _________________ Facing all that you fear will free you from yourself.
