TRoS actually makes the Dark Empire readable by comparison. I'm not a fan of the first crop of Dark Horse Comics' Star Wars stories by any means, but I'd much rather sit down and read all of them than watch the Disney Trilogy again. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Say what you want about the writing of the comics, the art for them were great.

DE has a couple ideas I liked, but I dislike the artwork. Well, the vehicles look cool, but the characters are horribly drawn and colored. Glad you liked it though!
Everyone knows I'm nonplussed by some of the Disney Star Wars and I don't totally agree with this meme, but it does have a point. Fandom has done a lot more to "ruin" Star Wars fandom than Disney or Lucas have. And the Star Wars I still love is not at all "ruined" by anything I don't love, because I still have all the good Star Wars that I do love.

That's one of the worst things about defenders of the Disney films. I have yet to meet one who defends the films on their actual merits. Instead, they go immediately to argumentum ad hominem, making it entirely the fault of the viewer for not liking the film, and completely side-stepping the serious canonical and story-telling problems of the DT. I can accept people who say "well, I liked it personally, but I understand if you don't," since personal taste is subjective, but telling other people that they are the problem with the film isn't actually a valid argument. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation.
