OK, but what I meant is: how long, in rounds, (not using FTL drive) takes for a typical ship to get off the weapon range of another ship, given the ranges you have provided in previous post? Let's assume the ship goes at its max sub-light speed and tries to escape battlefield.

i think this is what youre looking for, but since ships of both genres have differing max sublight speeds i cant give a definitive answer to your question.
name-max range in seconds
AA
Defensive Missile-8 seconds
Offensive Missile-600 seconds
Smart Missile-499 seconds
Extended Range Smart Missile-1,497 seconds
Point Defense Laser-4 seconds

TNG Torpedoes-13.5 seconds
TOS Torpedoes-10 seconds _________________ Aim low, shoot high

I missed this the first time around. What sort of range do you envision for Andromeda's nova bombs? _________________ Aha! |

Ok, so you're still firing from the outer limit of the inner solar system. That makes sense with what we saw in the series.
Thanks for the stats! _________________ Aha! |

thedemonapostle wrote: | well based on the information provided here, this is what the ranges would look like
Defensive Missile-1-131,250/262,500/525,000SU; 1-262,500/525,000/1,050,000km
Offensive Missile-1-178,125/356,250/712,500SU; 1-356,250/712,500/1,425,000km
Smart Missile-1-169,088/338,176/676,353SU; 1-338,176/676,353/1,352,705km
Point Defense Laser-1-150,000/300,000/600,000SU; 1-300,000/600,000/1,200,000km
Antiproton Cannon-1-150,000/300,000/600,000SU; 1-300,000/600,000/1,200,000km
If I do what I did with the Star Trek conversion, the ranges would look like this:
Defensive Missile-1-131/262/525SU; 1-263/525/1,050km
Offensive Missile-1-178/356/713SU; 1-356/713/1,425km
Smart Missile-1-169/338/676SU; 1-338/676/1,353km
Point Defense Laser-1-150/300/600SU; 1-300/600/1,200km
Antiproton Cannon-1-150/300/600SU; 1-300/600/1,200km |
Remember range lister in km in the SWD6 rules are for within atmosphere. It should not be used with another universes space range. _________________ My Biggest Beard Retard award goes to: The Admiral of course.. |
