Now that is an interesting idea. Each different size/shape of blade would then "ring" with a different tone, correct?
That sounds cool.... _________________ Blasted rules. Why can't they just be perfect? |

That sounds cool.... | Yes, and you could purchase different sound slugs to after market customize your vibroblade's ringtone. Perfect for those folks who don't actually have a great big blade but would like their pocket vibroshiv to to sound as if they did. |

And requires a kick-starter to activate. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Neat article on vibroweapons and the reality.
http://www.ottawalife.com/2013/09/putting-the-science-in-science-fiction-vibroblades/
In my game, the 'vibro' effect is a +2D to damage, but only for the purposes of defeating armor.
If the target isn't wearing armor, it counts as a normal blade.
This makes vibro weapons useful in my SW galaxy, without destroying the utility of non-vibro weapons. |

Me too, though they aren't common. 'Spice and variety' as you say. |

I like that rule.. Makes Vibros still usable, but only in so much as they are armor ignoring. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
