|
|
It looks like the web address for the D6 Holocron Wiki has expired or lost hosting. All I am getting is a 404 error. I'm bummed. That was my online go to for quick generic NPCs and gear.
Anyone have any news on this? _________________ "Yes because killing the guy you always planned on usurping and killing anyways in order to save your own kid, totally atones for murdering a roomful of innocent trusting children." The Brain |

Facebook post from the D6Holocron Master:
Initial:
Quote: | due to the increased use of the holocron and searches for all things star wars the cpu of the host has been drained by the site. overloading the cpu makes the hosting company shut the page down.
at this point im thinking i need to switch host again and look into dedicated servers to hold the site up.
im hoping some changes i made will keep the cpu calm, but now i get to wait for them to reactivate it.
but, i may need to look into ways to make money on the site to finance a better hosting plan.
while i work and ponder please be patient with me. |
Latest:
Quote: | ok, i moved the wiki section so that i can monitor a little more before i put it back.
if you are attached to a media outlet like rancor pit or google+ and people are asking, let them know the status.
im not able to reach many of them at work |
So, this is actively being looked into to either correct, or move, the site.

Oh Cool. I would hate to loose that one. I am going to make a donation, now that I know it is sticking around! _________________ "Yes because killing the guy you always planned on usurping and killing anyways in order to save your own kid, totally atones for murdering a roomful of innocent trusting children." I noticed the links to templates from my campaign site weren't working, hope this gets straightened out soon enough.
Also, glad that a new movie is bringing people back to the classic! _________________ "A special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing"- George Lucas |

I use D6 holocron when I'm away from my computer, especially when I have my phone. Makes stat lookups handy. _________________ Blasted rules. Why can't they just be perfect? |

That is good news indeed. _________________ __________________________________

There are several ways of generating an offsite copy of the site. I suspect I'll do so, because I've found the Holocron to be very useful in the past.
Here's an example list of various offline generators:
