Has any source showed holocron responding to a non force sensitive?

Also would a Sith holocron have any force or physical traps for defense? Like someone truss to take one apart and it fries them?

I know "The Last Jedi" mentioned that some could be accessed, at least partially by non-force sensitives, but never goes beyond that.

I would tend to think this is likely a no, unless the non-force sensitive is strong in the force (5 Force Points) or Dark Side if a Sith Holocron, in which case the keeper of the Holocron may see a glimmer of hope for a possible Jedi/Sith to be.

I would not only say this is absolutely possible, but I have done this to a curious Jedi character trying to dismantle and study a Sith Holocron. Though I chose something more sinister than just a zap or blast (I have used Dark Force Wraiths from time to time, and this was one of them).

If it helps, I've seen Holocrons that activate for some people and not for others.

If I were your shoes, I'd just do whatever your plot requires. You could always just chalk it up to "Arcane Jedi Mysteries" and say that the rule only applies to this one holocron in any case.

Anything is possible, I would think that a holocron could activate for someone who is not force sensitive but the knowledge that can be gained is next to nothing. If any knowledge is gained, it could be like historical knowledge, not the more arcane info deeper in.

Holocrons - not unless the force user who created it didn't mind the secrets it contains not being secure. I would think this would be extremely rare cases or made by a race that doesn't understand secrecy or is one that is of an open information sharing culture.

Datacrons - yes - most are locked/secured but not by the force as that is why there is a differentiation between datacrons and holocrons. Many were puzzles or guarded by puzzles. Some holocrons were to though.

Datacrons commonly held known principles of Jedi teachings and/or just information of use to the Jedi. Sith rarely would make datacrons as they probably kept their great grandmothers cookie recipes as invaluable secrets worth killing over - but that is because of the paranoia many had.
