Since summer, I have been reading through my complete collection West End Games -- quite a daunting task, I can assure you. Only 20 or so to go. My goal is to create a campaign that uses as many of my WEG books as possible, as well as incorporating material from other sources (video games, comics, novels, cartoons, etc.).
I look forward to any help I may need in the future, and offer the same kindness in return. |
Welcome, Darkstar! I also have a complete WEG Star Wars collection. That is quite a daunting task to incorporate many different WEG books into a single campaign. I have a collection-based goal myself. For my next campaign world, I want to use every single WEG source, but over the course of multiple campaigns. I know not every book is stellar in quality but there's got to be something I can use. The bottom line is, I want to get the most possible use out of my collection, to make it as practical as possible to justify the expenditure to get it all, and also just out of my love for the game. If you can, please let us know how your campaign goes.
How did you get into Star Wars?
How did you get into the WEG Star Wars RPG?
What Star Wars novels have you read? Which do you like? _________________ *

Welcome RyanDarkstar so glad you were able to join us. There has been a slow but steadily increasing interest in SWd6 over the last year. I think there is a real opportunity for an OSR of the game. Oh happy days if it were to actually get to that point. _________________ Don Diestler

Hi, my name is Gry Sarth and I'm a Star Wars D6 RPG fan.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to play this awesome game in a loooong time. There's just not enough free time in my life anymore to gather friends for those long sessions that an RPG requires...
But it's not all doomy and gloomy! For the last few years I've been working full time as a producer for Cool Mini Or Not, the company responsible for such board games as Zombicide, Rivet Wars, Kaosball and many, many others. I was one of the designers for Arcadia Quest, of which I am very proud. So yeah, lately I make more games than I play, but I guess life could be worse.
Oh, and in the past I've also put together some D6 books... _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Oh wow, Arcadia Quest looks like quite a game.
Anything else you worked on that you'd like to share with us?

Thanks!
Well, I've been involved to a greater or lesser degree in all games published by Cool Mini Or Not in the last few years. Zombicide, Rivet Wars, Kaosball, Wrath of Kings, Arcadia Quest, Dogs of War, XenoShyft, Smog, Rum & Bones, and several others still in development...
I've also helped with the translation and editing of the Brazilian editions of a few FFG Star Wars games, such as the new roleplaying game and X-Wing.
Feels good to drop by the old pit again. I missed this place. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Welcome back, Gry Sarth; your name is near legendary in these parts!
Zombicide is a great game, so kudos for any work you put in on that one! _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

I think I used almost those exact same words.
By the way, Gry, is there any way we could send you our e-mail addresses if we wanted a notice about a game you helped produce? I kind of believe in supporting our own. _________________ __________________________________

Hey Chesh, if you want to stay up-to-date on my work, just follow the Cool Mini Or Not Facebook page, or subscribe to their newsletter. I have my hands on all of CMoN's games nowadays.
If you like vikings, keep tuned in the next couple of months.
And thanks for the warm welcome and high praise, everybody!
Have a happy new year! _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Happy New Year to you too, Gry. Tomorrow for New Year's a bunch of us will be playing Zombicide (with some The One Ring RPG on Friday and D6 Star Wars and CODA Star Trek on Saturday).
So is Cool Mini or Not associated with Guillotine Games? _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

Yes, CMoN and Guillotine Games are partners. GG created Zombicide, and CMoN develops and publishes it.
My job with Zombicide is mostly rules revisions and proofreading, as well as preparing and managing all the print material and production at the factory. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Hi Ev'ryone! I'm Federico from Italy, just joined this forum but me and my friends have been playing SWRPG for quite a long time, now that I think about that, that would be something less than 20 year... Gosh, we're aging
I hope I can provide some useful or fun material we've developed during our campaigns and to be able to have some clarifications on the obscure parts of the ruleset.
Thanks in advance,
It's my honor an pleasure to join You! |
