One well hidden tidbit is in the Dark Empire Sourcebook. The Taskforce Cruiser Inquisition Module lists "15,000 prefabricated disintegration chambers." If it is anything like the Dispersal Canister (Galladinium's Fantastic Technology, page 29), anything destroyed in a disintegration chamber can be converted into usable energy. It would be horrificly efficient of the Empire to execute people in such fashion.

One game we had a PC who had one of those chambers installed on his Bulk freighter. 3 game months later, during a boarding action, one of the pc's got TKed by an enemy jedi INTO the chamber, and a 2nd used TK to turn it on...

His big thing was he wanted to be a recycler of all material. So anything used was tossed in, and reclaimed as power by the ship. That included dead bodies of victims the group came across (borders, imps they shot up).. Not one thought it would ever have been used against them. BUT since one group of imps were transmitting the raid on the parties ship to an Imperial force hunter type inquisitor, he SAW what they did (ko'ed one imp officer and the wookie tossed him right in, during the fight!).. So planned that it would get used against them the next time the imp's got a chance to board them.

Seems fair. I like his idea, and your method of turning it around on him seems appropriately poetic. I wonder what limitations there are on disintegration chambers; if they could dispose of any object, the Empire wouldn't need garbage compactors or pre-hyperspace jump garbage dumps.

I've had many PCs and groups commit crimes worthy of capital punishment. If the PCs aren't eventually wanted dead or alive, then you're doing it wrong! And of course some of them have gotten caught before breaking out or getting rescued. I can't think of any times where a PC was executed outside of combat.

To be honest i don't know. I remember reading that these chambers existed, for removal of chemical waste etc, but were also power hogs and small (usually less than 1 meter cube). Occasionally you could get a 2 meter cube version, but its more of a power hog than a turbolaser. But now i think about it more, i don't know where i saw them at.. Even looking in the complete equipment guides mentions nothing about them.
