Do you guys think the game would still work using Edge of the Empire's Attributes and Skills (below) rather than what is in the books?
Brawn- Athletics, Brawl, Melee, Resilience
Agility- Coordination, Gunnery, Pilot (Planetary), Pilot (Space), Ranged (Heavy), Ranged (Light), Stealth
Intellect- Astrogation, Computers, Knowledge*, Mechanics, Medicine
Cunning- Deception, Perception, Skullduggery, Streetwise, Survival
Willpower- Coercion, Discipline, Vigilance
Presence- Charm, Cool, Leadership, Negotiation
*Core Worlds, Education, Lore, Outer Rim, Underworld, Xenology, Warfare
Also Im thinking of using Minisix static defenses rule, has anyone used it? |

The system mechanics will work no matter the naming convention of the attribute or how many you have. Nor will the skills you associate with those attributes.
The mechanic is skills default to base Attributes if no Character Points are put into skills. Beyond that, the name of the attribute and skill doesn't matter.
Now if your asking, "does my conversion to make EotE Star Wars D6 make sense"? That is an entirely different question. It looks okay to me. _________________ Don Diestler

First off, welcome, Alastor04!
The way you've listed things certainly would work. The only ones I'd question are Athletics and Melee. Most games (including d6) would usually put those under Agility rather than Brawn. In the interests of balancing things out, though, I could see Melee being under Brawn.
I've never used the static defenses before, but have read here from people who've used them and who say they work fine. _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

Thank you.
One more question: do you think me putting a 10D cap on skills is too low?
With the Static Defenses and major revisions in force powers Im thinking about beyond 10D will be a little much. |

I don't think it's too low at all. 10D is actually quite high, so I don't think you'll have issues. If anything, you could even cap things lower if you wanted. _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |
