I haven't spotted this one among the lists of powers. Is it simply Telekinesis? Or does Force Push exist as a power already?

IIRC, somebody made rules for it in the Force Powers compendium PDF.

We have a converted power from the RCR. I thin kthat it was originally done by Gary Astleford, though I'm not sure.

Quote:

Force Push
Source: Core Rulebook,
page 86.
Alter Difficulty: Target’s control or Strength roll, +3 to difficulty for every 5 meters away from target, line of sight only. Required Powers: Concentration, life detection, telekinesis.
Effect: With this power, a Jedi may use the Force to push several adjacent targets backwards, knocking them prone or banging them against a wall. Each target past the first incurs a
-1D penalty on the Jedi using the power (ie, 1 target, no penalty; 2 targets, -1D penalty; 3 targets, -2D penalty; 4 targets, -3D penalty…). Each target makes either a control or Strength roll to resist, and the acting Jedi’s alter roll result is compared to each result in turn to determine the effects. A target that is knocked back into a wall or other solid object takes the listed damage. If a Jedi kills a living being as a result of this power he immediately receives a Dark Side Point; as such, he may roll less than his full alter score if he so
chooses.

Alter Roll > Target pushed back/
Difficulty By: Collision damage
0-5 2 meters / 2D
6-10 3 meters / 3D
11-15 5 meters / 4D
16-20 10 meters / 5D
21+ 15 meters / 6D

The only place I found the Force Push was in the "Star Wars RPG (D6) - Force Powers" pdf and on the d6holocron wiki page (see here). But the Power is, in my opinion, really weak against every person.

Thanks, all. It's nice to have something else for Force users to do in combat.

Well, if you want to do something else than fight with your Lightsaber, then use Battle Meditation and Enhance Coordination. They each have 3 Force Skills so we're looking at 6 Actions every round without even doing anything, meaning a MAP of 6 if you want to do anything else reguiring a skill check ^^

I should think an alternative to lightsabre combat and even an objective of strictly in-character Jedi Masters would be to arrive at the doorstep on the morning of the attack via farseeing, life sense and other knowledge based powers, knock and ask kindly if they wouldn't mind not attacking you later that day.

That'd be pretty intimidating if you really picture it.

Yeah, there was a Jedi in our group once that was doing penance as a story factor. As part of that he was off weapons altogether for a while. It made for some REALLY interesting uses of the Force to help the group. Targeting weapons was one manner, and battle meditation also came into play.

Very Happy the paradox of seeing the future: "but if you know what's going to happen, you can choose to avoid it"

This paradox does work very well towards Jedi goals, but the difficulties involved for successful employment would leave this in the realm of only the most powerful Masters.
And the power of the Sith is to veil the Force with the Dark Side...

Perhaps when they said the Guardians of Peace and Justice in the Galaxy, they meant by these means rather than with Lightsabres.

Well, it's always said that the future is uncertain and can change at any time. So all they can see is a possible future that might come true, but if you actively working against it, it might not happen (or it might happen because you're actively working against it ^^).

So you knock on the guy's door and say "please don't kill me later today."

And he gets angry and stews over the fact that you accused him of such an atrocity. Then he confronts you later that day and..... blam!
