I will NEVER go to a 3D movie in a common movie theater. I might do it for an IMAX, but NEVER for a normal movie theater. A complete money grab by the movie industry. Next you'll see the increased frame rate AND 3D, for an even GREATER cost.
Just keep going to 3D movies and don't be surprised when movie tickets start costing 20 bucks apiece. |

Some more details have emerged, and it still sounds like it was more Kathleen Kennedy making the plea to JJ Abrams, rather than an issue of money (I'm pretty sure JJ isn't hurting for $). |

And I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be using muppets for a Yoda movie, so expect a CG protagonist for that, like a zillion other Disney movies. Just sayin'. I personally don't mind because ILM will have over a decade of technical improvements to the stunning CG of RotS.
Lucas also toyed with the idea of a millenial prequel to TMP (Episode Zero?) that dealt with the time the Sith ruled the galaxy, the Sith decimation by the Jedi, and the formation of the (reformed) Republic (ending with the survival of Darth Bane and thus the Sith Order in the shadows).
My idea was for a young Yoda movie taking place over eight hundred years before the films, where Yoda has an adventure from which he comes to the erroneous conclusion the Sith had been completely eradicated. _________________ *

Latest update, including the 3 new movies they will also being doing stand alone movies based of individual characters.
So, as they have already hinted reading today, they may do one on Yoda first, but have said the 3 movies are priority. _________________ "To find our future, we must look to our past" |

Sounds like Star Wars is going to get the Avengers treatment from Disney. This is something I can get excited about. _________________ Blasted rules. Why can't they just be perfect? |

One of the other sites discussing this mentioned that the other 2 'standalone' films will focus on Fett and Solo...
Personally i would love them to focus on someone like say
Garm Bel Iblis
Wedge antillies
Or heck, even Cracken. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

I'll take all the above. Fett would be a great place to start. I even read that Jabba was a possibility. At first I balked but the more I think about it the more I grow fond of the idea. _________________ Blasted rules. Why can't they just be perfect? |

I saw that as well and I like both possibilities. The casting for a young Solo would be tricky, but I am very excited about the possibility of movie focused on Han. |

And here's a new idea in the spinoff realm, a KotOR movie:
http://screenrant.com/star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-script/
Really, if all of these rumors are true with Han Solo, Boba Fett, Yoda, and now KotOR, we're going to wind up with a new Star Wars movie every six months. _________________ __________________________________

To be honest, I would be incredibly disappointed if the new Movie would Focus on Fett or Solo.
I personally find Boba Fett extremely uninteresting and still don't understand how he became so famous. He doesn't really do anything in the films, he is extremely unimportant and not very skilled (see the fight of the team against Jabba in Star Wars VI), so that would definitely be a Star Wars Movie I wouldn't want to see at all.
And Han Solo... well, he might be a bad @$$, but a story around him would be boring as hell for me.
I really hope that it will be a movie adaptation of Kotor, that would be, in my opinion, the most interesting thing they could do. |

I agree with Quetzacotl that KotOR would be the best option.
I don't really like the idea of Yoda's film. I don't really want to see him using a lightsaber anymore. |
