Chapter 2: Kashyyyk

As the boarding ramp is lowering, the crew sees the human standing at the bottom of the ramp, the name ANDERS printed clearly on his uniform just above the left breast pocket. Looking up the ramp at the characters, he somehow still manages to give the impression that he is looking down his beak-like nose at them. "All refueling, restocking, and port fees must be paid at the port authority building before your departure." His voice carries a hint of nobility about it, "If you will be staying for more than three standard days, you will need to find other accomidations for your ship. If you have any questions, you can either ask me, or you can contact the port authority," His tone suggests that he would prefer that you take the second option. He pulls a small flimsi from his breast pocket and holds it out towards the characters.

Around the ship, the two wookiees are busy at work preparing the Chainfire for refueling.

Vin steps forward and, taking the flimsi, bows slightly at the waist. "Thank you, Mr. Anders. We will make our arrangements with the Port Authority; we know you have a great many things to do."

As the other party members gather around, waiting for Caster to join them, Vin examines the flimsi given him by Anders.

Looking at the flimsi, Vin quickly realizes that he's looking at a short list of local businesses. The places listed are:
Whettrel's Garage (Starship Mechanic)
Treeskimmer Repulsor (Repulsorlift Rental)
Tall Trees Guides (Local Guides & Translating)
Red Bark (Local Inn & Cantina)

At Vin's dismissal, Mr Anders looks at the others, as if daring them to speak before turning and beginning to leave.

A momentary wave of vertigo washes over Vin, his hand raising to touch his head where his implant rests. While the vertigo passes in less than a second, his mind feels fuzzy for several seconds before the feeling completely passes.

"Mr. Anders," Vin says as he struggles to steady himself, "I had a momentary memory lapse. Could you please add any medical facilities to our list? Preferably ones who are skilled enough to deal with cybernetic implants..."

Caster throws a sideways glance at Vin, checking to see if he is going to remain upright.

Then, training kicking in, Caster will then take a perception check of the area, looking specifically for possible exits or places to take cover, should things go south quickly.

Mr Anders turns back towards the characters, not seeming to notice Vin's momentary unsteadyness. Annoyance is plainly visible on his face even if his voice is even and professional, "Rowwrok Central can be found a few minutes South West of here by sky car. If anyone in the city is qualified for cybernetics work, it would be them," Looking Vin in the eye, a hint of his annoyance creaps into his voice, "Will there be anything else?"

Caster's eyes takes in the hangar with a glance. Along the North wall, he sees a pair of cabenets, beside them is a repulsorlift designed for moving heavy objects. To the East, there is a double door, presumably leading towards the docking facility's central hub. To the South West is the gaping entrance to the landing bay. To the North West, there are a series of machines built directly into the wall, most of the cables the Wookiee technicians are snaking across the floor towards the Chainfire are attached to valves or pipes in that area. While the main entrance floods the landing bay with light, above them is a series of large lights further immuminating the chamber.

Sovain Piltahk looks up from his cott as the door of his cell swings open. In the opening is a pair of Wookiees, one standing in front of the other. The Wookiee in the back is obviously a law enforcement officer, his dark brown fur is well groomed, and a sash across his chest showing his name and rank. The Wookiee standing closer to the door is a dark haired mountain of an individual, easily standing head and shoulders over the other wookiee. His black hair is streaked with dull grey, a stark contrast to the shiny silver stun cuffs on its wrists. His dark eyes lock on Sovain, sizing him up even as the door is being closed behind him. Eyes never leaving Sovain, the large Wookiee shoves its arms through the opening in the door to have the stun cuffs removed. From the other side of the door, the officer speaks in wookiee, "Enjoy the company Piltahk." Then in a much harsher voice, "Koshka! Behave yourself this time!" As the sound of footsteps retreat down the hall, the wookiee throws himself violently against the door before letting out a roar of frustration that makes Sovain's ears ring. His attention returning to Sovain, in wookiee, he growls, "You're in my cott."

Vin shakes his head minimally. "No, Mr. Anders. Thank you very much; it's much appreciated."

He steps off to the side of the walk, resting his hand on the railing to keep himself steady, waiting for the rest of the party to assemble. He pulls out a datapad, noting Rowwrok Central as an important stop they need to make, and soon.

When everyone has gathered together, he passes on the information he got from Anders, noting that they will need to arrange for resupply and such before leaving the dock. He then looks around to see if there is a speeder rental or service close by.

Dar remains silent checking around the docking bay, looking to see what other ships are around, and whether they are being attended to. (Looking to see if he can identify other crews, not looking for ships to steal.)

Caster watches Anders leave and then joins the others at the bottom of the ramp. Leaning against one of the supports, he asks: "Alright, so what's the plan?" He then adds: "Might be a decent idea to split up into two groups and try to get a few things done quicker."

As Caster waits for the others to reply, he takes another quick look around, making sure no one gets too close.

Vin quietly replies, "Splitting up might be a good idea. We obviously need to resupply and refuel. Like we figured earlier, it would be a great idea to land a cargo heading to somewhere...ANYWHERE. If it's somewhere in Republic-held space, we run much less risk of running into Sith agents who could possibly identify us. If we go back to Sith space, we obviously know our way around, but will probably run into an ever-shrinking area in which to operate. The Republic seems to be taking charge, and I think it's only a matter of time before they complete the job.

"Also, I need to get to a medical facility that can handle cybernetic implants; my memory implant was damaged in our escape, and it's giving me some serious problems. I'll need someone with me to make sure I can get back here after everything is taken care of.

"So...we can either split up and get more things done, or we can stick together in case we run into any...Republic entanglements. Either way, though, we need to decide NOW where we want to try to go. It'll be much easier if we're all on the same flimsi."

Sovain looks at Koshka and just looks at him at the eyes and asks "SO THEN, what are you rules then since you are emperor of the cott?" Then sovain las back waiting for an answer "Hopefully you will understand what I just said."

Caster looks at Vin and says, "Alright, so you go over to the medical facility and I'll head to the Red Bark to try and scare up some cargo."

Turning towards Darwin and John, he says, "Which one of you wants to go with Vin and which one wants to head over to the Red Bark with me?"

Exiting the docking bay towards the main docking facility hub, Vin sees a single skytaxi parked near the main offices. Glancing again at the card in his hand, he realizes that his only legal options for transportation are the independant skytaxi near the docking facility offices, or calling Treeskimmer Repulsor to have a rental vehicle delivered.

Darwin looks around the wide open area, looking at the skywalks connecting a dozen different trees in fifty different ways. Looking around, he realizes that the docking bays built directly into the trees offer those ships & crews with a surprising ammount of privacy. However, there are also several docking platforms marked along some of the wide tree branches. Of the ships he is able to see, he sees the small assortment of tramp freighters he has come to expect from any starport. Unsurprisingly, he dosnt see ay ships or crew that he recognizes. Beside him, Vin and Caster continue their conversation, "Alright, so you go over to the medical facility and I'll head to the Red Bark to try and scare up some cargo." Looking between Darwin and John, Caster asks, "Which one of you wants to go with Vin and which one wants to head over to the Red Bark with me?"

Looking between Darwin and John, Caster waits for an answer. John seems lost in thought, his eyes taking in his surroundings and paying little attention to the conversation around him.

Koshka looks at Sovain for a long moment before barking out a thunderous laugh, slapping Sovain on the back with enough force to knock the wind out of him. As the massive wookiee's laughter finally dies down, he sets on the cott opposite Sovain, speaking in wookiee, "I like you." He glances at the closed door of their cell before looking back at Sovain, "How would you like to get out of here?"

Vin snaps his eyes in front of John's face. "Hey there...Kashyyyk to John...we need a little focus here. Have you been paying attention? I know this is a beautiful planet, but we have some things we HAVE to get done, and pronto."

Caster waits for a response from John and shrugs his shoulders at Vin.
