Had this happen in game once.
Your npc group consists, of 2 squads of regular troopers (stormies), who are currently having a problem taking out a rebel patrol. You are in the back round directing them, while awaiting for re-enforcements.
They show up, and you realize the base sent out a full 8 man squad of storm commandos, but while you are talking to them, 1 (and only 1) rebel fades into view (very high sneak roll), and drops all 8 in one round (on a force point most likely).........
What bonus would you give for an intimidate roll?
I.E. Do you have a list of bonuses that might apply, like: -1d, has already seen his troops drop to the pc. –2d, has seen his attacks prove ineffectual. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Check out the sittuational modifiers listed in the back of the Second Edition and Second Edition R&E books, those can help you with these questions. It is really the GM's discretion as to modifiers though. _________________ "There's a set way to gain new Force Points and it represents a very nice system, where you're rewarded for heroism, not for being a poor conductor to electricity." ~Jachra |

If only one rebel drops a squad of commandos, give him a medal.
I would say he would get a hefty bonus to his intimidation.
Dropping 8 commandos in one round, he's hardcore. |

I would give him an automatic 20 on intimidation. Most Strom Troopers of any kind still wouldn't be shaken by that. But if he tries to use intimidation and get freaky, he might cause some to get penalties to their actions.
As for non-stormy Imperial Officers. As soon as they hear about what the hell just happened, they start making willpower checks. And all of there actions are affected from that point on.
Meanwhile, the Rebel Commando does indeed get a Medal, some decent CP for the good plan, and will soon have to deal with the challenge of several diffrent tactics being used upon him to try and stop him ASAP. _________________ My backpack has jets!
