Sorry but reading the alternate universe writeup on your website led me to think that i would constantly have to be refering back to it to explain the actions of NPCs and events in the game world and ...

Well Tibanna Gas is quite explosive, so maybe all that gas that is used for the bolts heat the barrels up.
